Caring for the Aging, Guided by Christ: The Mission of Christina Hill

Christina Hill

Owner & CEO of Amada Senior Care

As an active member of the “sandwich generation,” Christina balances caregiving for her grandmother—who lives with vascular dementia—while raising two spirited young children in the Midwest.

Her personal caregiving journey shaped her professional pivot: after 12 years in corporate America, she launched Amada Senior Care Overland Park KS, where she now serves as Owner & CEO, helping families navigate aging with dignity and support.

With a blend of strategic insight, lived experience, and deep community roots, Christina is passionate about building systems of support that empower caregivers, uplift families, and reflect the diverse fabric of Kansas City.

Born to Lead, Called to Serve

Christina Hill’s story begins with a truth she declares boldly: “I was born this way.” From an early age, being the eldest child shaped her into a natural leader—learning that leadership isn’t about titles, but about stepping up when others need you most. Her leadership foundation was further built through ROTC training, two decades of corporate sales experience, and the deep empathy forged while caring for her grandparents.

Now, as the owner of Amada Senior Care in Overland Park, Kansas, Christina brings her calling full circle. She embodies the “Sandwiched Generation”—raising children while caring for aging loved ones—and has transformed her personal journey into a professional mission. With more than 53 million Americans providing unpaid care today, Christina believes God has called her to educate, advocate, and support families through these challenges.

Her story is one of faith-driven entrepreneurship: leaving corporate security, stepping into uncertainty, and choosing to trust God’s plan for her life and business.

Courage in the Call

When Christina was laid off from corporate America after 12 years, she could have taken the safe route and returned to another steady paycheck. Instead, she prayed, sought confirmation, and chose the path God had been preparing her for since she was 13 years old—a life rooted in caregiving and compassion.

Stepping into entrepreneurship terrified her. She admitted openly, “This is the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life.” Yet she moved forward, remembering Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will direct your paths.”

Christina’s leap of faith is a reminder that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite fear because God is calling you higher.

Leadership as Servanthood

In business and in life, Christina embodies servant leadership. As she noted, entrepreneurship often requires putting clients and employees first, trusting that when you serve faithfully, God will take care of the rest.

Jesus said in Matthew 20:26, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” Christina’s leadership is not about ego or position but about lifting others up—whether co-founding an employee resource group in corporate America or now walking with families through the difficult realities of senior care.

Her story shows us that true leaders lead with humility, empathy, and the willingness to walk alongside others in their hardest seasons.

Faith in the Fire

Launching a heavily regulated business like senior care comes with challenges—permits, compliance, red tape, and the unknowns of a new industry. For Christina, this could have been overwhelming. But instead of collapsing under the pressure, she chose surrender.

She prays daily, “Lord, I surrender this problem to You, Jesus, and I know You will guide me to the right answer.” That posture of surrender has become her strength.

Her testimony echoes Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” For Christina, entrepreneurship is not just about building a business—it is about trusting God to work all things for His glory.

Staying Hot for Jesus

Christina is clear about one thing: lukewarm faith is not an option. She recalls times when her walk with God was distant, but in 2025, she made a full commitment to living completely for Him.

Her encounter with a stranger—possibly an angel—who blessed her family unexpectedly was a divine reminder that God sees, provides, and confirms His calling. Today, Christina starts her mornings in prayer and Scripture, declaring, “I don’t have bad days—just bad moments,” because her day is rooted in the presence of God.

She warns entrepreneurs to guard against pride and ego, reminding us of Revelation 3:16, where the Lord says He will “spit out” the lukewarm. Christina’s life demonstrates the joy and peace that comes from staying hot for Jesus, even when the road is uncertain.

Feed Your Faith, Starve Your Fear

If Christina could put one message on a billboard, it would be this: “Feed your faith to starve your fear.” That phrase sums up her journey—stepping into entrepreneurship not with a blueprint of certainty, but with a faith that God will provide, sustain, and prosper what He has called her to do.

Her mission through Amada Senior Care isn’t just about business—it’s ministry. It’s about being the hands and feet of Jesus to families navigating one of life’s most difficult seasons.

Christina Hill’s story reminds us that when we surrender our plans to God, embrace servant leadership, and walk boldly in faith, we can face fear with confidence. Because in the end, success is not about us—it’s about Christ working through us.

Key Takeaway: Entrepreneurship is one of the hardest journeys you can take—but with Jesus at the center, it becomes a calling, a ministry, and a testimony of faith. Like Christina Hill, may we all learn to feed our faith and starve our fear.
