From the Pulpit to the Platform
On this inspiring episode of the Anchoring Hope Podcast, host David Mansilla welcomes back Dana Dunmyer, a dynamic Kingdom leader whose journey is a masterclass in faith, obedience, and visionary leadership.
After two decades in pastoral ministry, Dana followed a divine prompting in 1995 that led his family through seasons of obedience, hardship, and even homelessness—only to experience breakthrough by God’s grace. From a temp job at GE, he launched what would become a thriving enterprise: TQI Solutions, a global tech firm serving Fortune 500 clients and U.S. government agencies.
Dana later established the Beracha Foundation, which has provided over $54 million in subsidized services to nonprofits in 110 countries. Today, he leads Convene, a powerful faith-forward ecosystem designed to serve Christian businesses, nonprofits, and churches. His life and leadership are rooted in one core conviction: multiplying God-given tools for God-given missions.
A Call Greater Than Comfort
Dana’s journey began not with strategy, but with surrender. After years in full-time ministry, God led him into the unknown: the world of business and technology. “There was no book of Dana,” he said. “Just obedience.” What followed were years of struggle—but God used them to shape a deeper foundation.
When GE Aircraft Engines became his first client, Dana knew God wasn’t just moving him into business; He was calling him to build Kingdom systems. Just like Nehemiah rebuilt the walls, Dana rebuilt his calling—one act of obedience at a time.
👉 Leadership Lesson: True Kingdom leadership starts with surrender. Don’t chase success; follow the voice of God—even when the path is unclear.
Kingdom Economy vs. Christian Isolation
One of the most eye-opening insights Dana shared was a startling statistic: of every 15 dollars spent in business, Muslims recirculate 15, Jews 12—but Christians less than 1.
That disconnect, he said, is because Christians have “checked their values at the door” when it comes to business. Dana is working to change that through Convene—a platform designed to unify Christian businesses, nonprofits, and churches into one ecosystem rooted in biblical values.
👉 Leadership Lesson: Unity among believers is not just spiritual—it’s strategic. God’s economy thrives when we support each other in faith and business.
Building the “Ark” for Christian Enterprise
Through Convene, Dana’s vision is clear: to provide a Kingdom ecosystem and economic engine. This fifth-generation ERP system empowers leaders with everything from directories and community hubs to e-learning, coaching, and 80+ revenue streams.
Just like Noah built the ark in obedience to a divine blueprint, Dana sees Convene not as his own idea, but as a structure God instructed him to build. “We don’t do what you do,” he says. “We help you do what you do—even better.”
👉 Leadership Lesson: Innovation becomes legacy when it's led by the Spirit. Let God use your unique gifts to build something that blesses others.
Hire Your Weakness, Multiply Your Strength
Dana and David shared a transparent moment: the trap of trying to do everything yourself. Dana emphasized the power of hiring where you're weak and investing in your God-given strengths. This isn’t just good leadership advice—it’s biblical.
In Romans 12, Paul describes the Body of Christ as many members, each with different functions. Dana challenges leaders to stop striving to be everything—and instead, build teams that reflect the Body of Christ.
👉 Leadership Lesson: Multiplication happens when we collaborate, not when we control. Delegate what drains you. Focus on what fuels you.
God, Generosity, and the True Meaning of Prosperity
Dana and David closed with a powerful conversation about prosperity—not the kind twisted by greed, but the biblical kind rooted in stewardship, generosity, and impact. Psalm 112 came alive as David read it aloud: “Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.”
Dana reminded us that God gives us the power to generate wealth—not for our own gain, but to bless others. Prosperity without purpose leads to pride. But when we give freely, live generously, and serve selflessly, we reflect the very heart of Christ.
👉 Leadership Lesson: You weren’t blessed to build your brand—you were blessed to build the Kingdom. Steward your wealth. Multiply your impact.
